So new episode every week, and this week we have great guests we're very excited about. I've known this man for a long time, longer than it's polite to say yeah, I know A while.

Speaker 2:

We were both different cats back then.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we both broadcast, fellow broadcasters, and you were probably one of the most prolific promotions man brain I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 2:

Very gracious.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Doug Harris, who is in Houston radio. My gosh, the lineage is outstanding, but KLOL and 97 Rock were involved in it.

Speaker 2:

KLOL was where I stuck my flag in the dirt and that led to other stations also owned by the Jones family and that led to working overseas when the revolution happened over there with commercial radio, and I've just been very, very lucky and very fortunate yeah.

Speaker 1:

And speaking of which, the show is about relationships. You're also very lucky that you met this lovely lady, Dessa Turner.

Speaker 3:

Hello, thank you for having us. This is really fun Hall of Fame and I remember seeing this woman like she didn't look like any other women in that room. I was like, who is this beautiful woman? Just like she's gorgeous, like you see her in person and she's stunningly beautiful, and I was like, who is this person? And she dresses like very, very fashionable, not like many people. Where were we? In the middle of nowhere, texas.

Speaker 2:

Kilgore. Kilgore, texas. It's a lovely community and they welcome us there every year.

Speaker 3:

They're very gracious. No, but it's like she didn't look like somebody from Kilgore Texas. She's very striking.

Speaker 2:

It was my first trip, actually that trip. I'm from Texas and that was the first time I'd ever been to Kilgore.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, me too, me too. But she didn't look like somebody from there and I was like who is this beautiful woman just walking?

Speaker 2:

here. Same thing I said first time I saw her, but there was a time when we were curious about.
